Containerships plc early redemption of EUR 50.5 million senior secured bond

CONTAINERSHIPS PLC EARLY REDEMPTION OF EUR 50.5 MILLION SENIOR SECURED BOND

Containerships plc ("Containerships" or the "Company") hereby announces that the
Company's  up  to  EUR  70,000,000 bonds  2015/2019 with  ISIN FI4000148804 (the
"Bonds") will be redeemed in advance in accordance with the terms and conditions
of the Bonds originally dated 26 March 2015 (the "Terms and Conditions"). Notice
of the redemption of the Bonds will be sent to bondholders on 13 November 2017.

The date of the redemption will be 15 December 2017 (the "Redemption Date"). The
Bonds will be redeemed at 103.09 per cent of the Outstanding Nominal Amount plus
accrued but unpaid Interest (the "Redemption Amount").

The  Redemption Amount will be  paid to bondholders holding  Bonds on the record
date,  which  will  be  14 December  2017. The  Bonds  will be delisted from the
corporate bond list of Nasdaq Helsinki on or about the Redemption Date.

The  Company  has  today  placed  a  EUR  60 million senior secured bond under a
framework  of  up  to  EUR  100 million  with  ISIN  FI4000292172 (the "New Bond
Issue"). The proceeds from the New Bond Issue will be applied towards paying the
Redemption Amount on the Redemption Date.
