Chapter 2, Section 9 of the Securities Market Act, according to which the       
holding of BlackRock, Inc. (USA Tax ID 32-0174421, SEC CIK Code#: 0001364742) in
UPM has exceeded 5% on 1 December 2009.                                         

According to the disclosure, the indirect holding of BlackRock Inc. in UPM was  
27,893,384 share, 5.36% of UPM's shares and voting rights.
