Change in Outokumpu financial reporting practices

Outokumpu intends to follow the recent changes to the Finnish Securities
Markets Act allowing reduced reporting requirements. Consequently, the first
and third quarter reports will no longer cover the full extent of the IAS 34
standard. While this will condense the reports, Outokumpu continues to disclose
all the relevant information in its quarterly reporting.
