Rannveig Rist chairman of the board of Skipti

Rannveig Rist has taken over as chairman of the board of Skipti hf. This
decision was made at a meeting of the board earlier today. The appointment of
Rannveig Rist ensures continuity in the administration of the company, as the
new chairman has extensive experience and knowledge of the company's business
operations. She has been a member of the board of Skipti and Síminn since 2002,
when the company was still owned by the State. She was chairman of the board
from 2002 to 2005, but has since served as vice-chairman. Mr. Lýdur Gudmundsson
will step down as chairman, but continue to serve as a member of the board.
