Componenta Karkkila was granted a leave to appeal by the Supreme Court on the
Helsinki Appeal Court's decision 

The Supreme Court has granted Componenta Karkkila Oy a leave to appeal on the
decision of Helsinki Appeal Court of 20 December 2007. The Appeal Court had
ordered in its decision Componenta Karkkila Oy to pay VR Ltd (Finnish Railways)
a total of approximately EUR 1.9 million including interest of delay from 16
June 1997 in compensation for train wheels supplied and indirect costs. The
total sum also included compensation for VR Ltd's legal costs in the matter.
The decision of the Appeal Court related to a contract to supply train wheels
signed in 1990 and wheels supplied in 1991 and 1992. 

Componenta recorded the compensation order of the Appeal Court amounting to
approximately EUR 1.9 million in the result for the last quarter of 2007 as a
one-time item. 

The proceedings now continue in the Supreme Court.
