Stockmann - Company Announcement

STOCKMANN GROUP SALES IN MAY 2007

In May, the Stockmann Group's sales increased by 10 per cent and amounted
to EUR 120.1 million. Good growth was recorded by all business units.

The largest percentage increase was reported by Hobby Hall, whose sales
were up 14 per cent. Hobby Hall's sales in Finland were up 6 per cent and
sales abroad up 54 per cent. Sales abroad increased significantly both in
Estonia and Latvia, and sales were also boosted by good development in the
new market area of Lithuania. The sales growth is partially attributable
to transfer items from April, as the sales record date was brought forward
due to the introduction of a new data system.

Sales of the Department Store Division were up 10 per cent. In Finland,
sales were up 4 per cent, while sales abroad were up 27 per cent. The
growth in international sales was contributed to by the good like-for-like
development on all markets, the new department store opened in Moscow in
February and the expansion of the Bestseller chain in Russia.

Seppälä's sales were up 10 per cent. In Finland, their sales were down one
per cent and international sales were up 55 per cent. Sales abroad were up
strongly both in terms of like-for-like sales and particularly due to the
expansion of the store network in Russia. After mid-May, sales showed
particularly strong growth in all market areas.
