covered bond program and inaugural issuance

Credit  rating agency Standard & Poor's  Credit Market Services Europe Ltd (S&P)
has  assigned  'AAA'  ratings  to  Sp  Mortgage Bank Plc's mortgage covered bond
program  and inaugural EUR 500,000,000 issuance  under the covered bond program.
The outlook on the ratings is stable.

Sp  Mortgage  Bank  is  part  of  the  Savings Banks Group and the Savings Banks
Amalgamation.  The role of  Sp Mortgage Bank  is, together with  Central Bank of
Savings  Banks  Finland  Plc,  to  be  responsible for obtaining funding for the
Savings  Banks  Group  from  money  and  capital  markets.  Sp  Mortgage Bank is
