FINAL ACCOUNTS FOR AKTIA PLC APPROVED

Aktia plc's shareholder meeting has today approved the final accounts of Aktia
plc following the merger och Aktia plc and Aktia Bank plc on 1 July 2013. The
shareholder meeting also discharged the members of the Board of Supervisors and
the Board of Directors, the Managing Director and his deputy from liability for
the period 1 January - 30 June 2013. 

The merger is included in Aktia Group's 2015 plan of action where work on
improving the Group's cost structure is included. Simplifying the Aktia Group
structure aims at greater cost efficiency in administration, processes and
shared functions.
