Suominen Corporation's loan agreements signed

SUOMINEN CORPORATION             STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 9 DECEMBER 2008 


SUOMINEN CORPORATION'S LOAN AGREEMENTS SIGNED                                   

Suominen Corporation has signed a EUR 66 million syndicated loan agreement to be
used in refinancing the Company's current bank debts.                           

The loan agreement consists of two tranches; a five-year Amortizing Term Loan   
Facility of EUR 40 million and a three-year Revolving Credit Facility of EUR 26 
million. Mandated Lead Arranger is Sampo Bank and other Arrangers are Pohjola   
and Nordea.                                                                     

Suominen has also agreed on a seven-year pension loan of EUR 4 million with     
Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company. The loan is guaranteed by Garantia  
Insurance Company.                                                              

The loans are secured.
