SAMPO GROUP COMPANY IF SIGNS SIGNIFICANT CO-OPERATION AGREEMENT                 

If P&C Insurance Company, part of the Sampo Group, has today signed a           
co-operation agreement with SOK, the central organisation of the S Group. The S 
Group is Finland's leading player in the food trade and in the hotel and        
restaurant business.                                                            

Under the agreement, If's customers will be eligible, as of June 2008, for the S
Group's customer bonus for P&C insurance policies offered to households by If.  
The agreement is long-term and significant in scope. The companies will provide 
more details in June 2008.
