SALE OF SHARES IN THE JOINT BOOK-ENTRY ACCOUNT

SALE OF SHARES IN THE JOINT BOOK-ENTRY ACCOUNT                                  

Lännen Tehtaat plc has on its Annual General Meeting on 29 March 2007 decided on
the sale through public trading of shares which have been entered in the joint  
book-entry account opened with the Finnish Central Securities Depository and for
which registration of the ownership right in a book-entry account has not been  
demanded in spite of the fact that five years have passed from the date of the  
registration date. The decision was made under chapter 3a, section 3a of the    
Companies Act (734/1978) and section 8 of the Implementing Act of the new       
Companies Act (624/2006).                                                       

Shareholders hade to demand within one year from a request based on the decision
of the Annual General Meeting that their ownership right be registered or they  
will forfeit their right to the shares and only keep the right to the funds     
obtained from the sale of the shares. The said request has been published in the
Official Gazette on 6 July 2007 and the one year time limit elapsed on 6 July   
2008.                                                                           

The company will sell the shares in the public trading. The amount of the shares
that will be sold was on 10 July 52,078 shares. The sale will not start before  
August 2008.
