Kotipizza chain reports record sales in July

Total sales of the Kotipizza chain, which is a part of Kotipizza Group Oyj, grew
21.7 percent and same-store sales grew 21.2 percent in July compared to those in
the previous year. Same-store sales are based on sales figures from 242
restaurants.

This year the monthly sales amounted to 8.64 million euros and last year to
7.10 million euros. The July monthly sales were the highest in the history of
the chain and first which reached over eight million. The previous monthly sales
record, 7.29 million euros, was reported in June.

The cumulative chain sales from the beginning of the financial year (1 February
to 31 July) have grown 16.1 percent compared to those in the previous year and
amount to 43.2 million euros.

"Our sales have reached a whole new level due to a combination of factors. They
are based on our renewed brand, successful marketing, and the emphasis we have
placed on our online store and digital presence. The most important factor in
our success are our franchisees who work tirelessly to put the Kotipizza brand
and the best customer experience in Finland into practice. The July sales were
further boosted by the fact that there were five weekends in the month",
Kotipizza Group CEO Tommi Tervanen says.
