Glitnir banki hf. - Company Announcement

Qualifying holding of FL Group and Jötunn Holding ehf.

With a letter dated 12 December 2007, the Financial Supervisory Authority of
Iceland has informed Glitnir banki hf. that it has not accepted the application
by FL Group hf. and Jötun Holding ehf. for authorisation to jointly hold up to
39.99% of shares in the bank. Their present limit of 32.99% holding will
continue to apply.
