NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR APPOINTED FOR AVILON

NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR APPOINTED FOR AVILON

Part of Neo Industrial's Viscose Fibers industry, Avilon, has appointed a new
Managing Director. The new Managing Director of Avilon Ltd is M.Sc. (Econ) Sari
Tulander, who also acts as the Chief Financial Officer of Neo Industrial Plc. 

Heikki Hassi, who has acted as Managing Director since Avilon was founded, will
now focus more strongly on research & development operations, e.g. the
development and commercialization of the Viscose Fibers industry's technology
and specialty products. Hassi continues as Managing Director of Carbatec Ltd
that manages the industry's technology portfolio, and will also join Avilon
Ltd's Board of Directors. 

The viscose fiber manufacturing Avilon Ltd is currently undergoing corporate
restructuring, and its Valkeakoski-based factory is temporarily shut down.
