Vantaa, Finland, 2016-02-23 08:00 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

The Ramirent Board of Directors has appointed Tapio Kolunsarka (40) as the new
President and CEO of Ramirent Plc. Tapio Kolunsarka will assume his duties no
later than at the end of August 2016 and succeed Magnus Rosén, who will resign
from the company. Magnus Rosén will continue as President and CEO until Tapio
Kolunsarka will take up the position.

“I started as CEO of Ramirent in 2009 in the middle of the financial crisis. I
have had the privilege of leading the company through different market
environments while building a common business platform, reducing the
operational risk level in the Group and developing three distinct business
areas in which Ramirent is well-positioned to seek growth. After seven
interesting years, I feel this is a good time to move on with my career”, says
Magnus Rosén.

Ulf Lundahl, Chairman of the Ramirent Board of Directors: “Magnus Rosén has led
the company through significant headwind in many markets while transforming the
company from a fragmented organisation to a more unified company. Under his
leadership the company has also increased the EPS from 0.04 EUR in 2009 to 0.36
EUR in 2015. On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, I want to express my
appreciation and thank Magnus Rosén for his dedication and contribution to the
Group’s development. Magnus Rosén will continue as CEO until Tapio Kolunsarka
will start and he will continue to support the company to ensure continuity of
key business initiatives.”

Magnus Rosén will be a member of the industrial network of Nordstjernan and is
a board member of NCC Housing and Llentab.

“Ramirent has been going through a phase of significant transformation and it
is now time to enter a new strategic phase pursuing profitable growth by
further developing our business mix: General Rental, Solutions and Temporary
Space. I am very pleased that we have been able to recruit Tapio Kolunsarka as
new President and CEO. Tapio Kolunsarka’s strategic skills and proven
leadership abilities as head of a major organisation constitute an excellent
background for leading Ramirent in the next phase,” says Ulf Lundahl.

“I am excited to join one of the leading equipment rental companies in Europe.
By taking first-class care of its customers, I am sure that Ramirent will have
a successful future. I am looking forward to joining the team of dedicated
employees and contribute to the next chapters of Ramirent history”, says Tapio
Kolunsarka.

Tapio Kolunsarka joins Ramirent from UPM-Kymmene Corporation, where he has
served as Executive Vice President of UPM Raflatac since 2013. Between
2011-2013 Mr. Kolunsarka was Senior Vice President of UPM Raflatac EMEA and
between 2008-2011 of UPM Raflatac Europe. During the years 2002-2008 he held
several leading positions in UPM Raflatac in Finland and in the United States.
Before joining UPM he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Tapio Kolunsarka
holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Helsinki University of
Technology and a M.Sc. in economics from the Helsinki School of Economics.
