CHANGES IN MARIMEKKO'S MANAGEMENT

Piia Rossi, Director for Marimekko's own retail stores in Finland and member of
the Management Group, has announced her resignation from the company as of 16
August 2010. Päivi Lonka, currently Director of international sales and own
stores aboard, has been appointed Sales Director and will assume responsibility
of all Marimekko Corporation's wholesale and retail sales operations as of 16
August 2010. 

Marimekko has previously announced that as of 1 July 2010 all product lines
will have one Creative Director, and as of 1 November 2010, all product lines
will be managed by one Product Director. Now responsibility of all wholesale
and retail sales operations will be assumed by one Sales Director. With these
measures, the company aims at a more consolidated and functioning structure in
order to support stronger growth. 

From 16 August 2010, Marimekko Group's Management Group will be composed of
Mika Ihamuotila as Chairman, with members Thomas Ekström (finance and
administration), Malin Groop (marketing), Minna Kemell-Kutvonen (design), Päivi
Lonka (sales), Niina Nenonen (clothing, bags and accessories) and Helinä Uotila
(production, purchases and interior decoration).
