Benchmark Issue of EUR 750 million from Pohjola                                 


On 25 March 2010, Pohjola Bank plc will issue a EUR 750 million benchmark note  
under its EMTN programme in international capital markets. The fixed-rate note  
has a maturity of five years.                                                   

Citigroup Global Market Limited, JP Morgan Securities Ltd, The Royal Bank of    
Scotland plc, UBS Investment Bank and Pohjola Bank plc act as joint lead   
managers.                                                                       

The issue will be listed on the London Stock Exchange.
