ANNOUNCEMENT OF SAMPO PLC´S RESULTS AND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING IN 2009          

Sampo plc will publish a release on full-year 2008 results on 11 February 2009. 
Sampo will publish three Interim Reports in 2009:                               

6 May 2009 - Interim Report for the period 1.1.-31.3.2009                       
12 August 2009 - Interim Report for the period 1.1.-30.6.2009                   
4 November 2009 - Interim Report for the period 1.1.-30.9.2009                  

The Annual Report for 2008 will be published in week 11 and the Annual General  
Meeting will be held on 7 April 2009.
