Lietuvos Dujos results of 2015: the company’s EBITDA increased 18% to EUR 24 million

Energijos Skirstymo Operatorius AB, identification code 304151376, registered

In 2015 the sales revenues of the Lithuanian natural gas distribution company
AB Lietuvos Dujos were EUR 54.9 million, 0.6% up compared to 2014. 

In 2015 Lietuvos Dujos generated EUR 24 million in EBITDA (earnings before
interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation), 18.2% up compared to 2014 when
EBITDA was reported at EUR 20.3 million. This was resulted mostly due to higher
income and reduced operating costs. 

In 2015 from gas distribution operations the Company generated EUR 12.8 million
in net profit - 2.2 times more than in 2014, when it was EUR 5.9 million. In
2014, the net profit of Lietuvos Dujos was EUR 42.4 million, represented as a
total of the continued gas distribution operations and the terminated gas
supply operations. 

“Last year for Lietuvos Dujos was very important: earlier implemented changes
opened a way for the Company to operate more efficiently, ensure simpler
management, reduce costs and increase the value. According to preliminary
estimations, the financial effect of the changes implemented in Lietuvos Dujos
in 2015 will reach about EUR 2.3 million per year. A specifically inspiring
indication is the number of customers that has been steadily growing during the
last year. This shows that natural gas is again becoming an attractive fuel –
due to its favourable price, simple and efficient use”, says Liudas
Liutkevičius, Chairman of the Board and the CEO of ESO. 

In the implementation of provisions of the EU Third Energy Package for the
unbundling of natural gas sector activities, assets, rights and obligations of
the natural gas supply activity were sold to UAB Lietuvos Duju Tiekimas as at
31 October 2014 under the contract on the purchase - sale of a part of
enterprise of AB Lietuvos Dujos of 15 October 2014. For comparison purposes,
data of the continued natural gas distribution activity for 12 months of 2014
are presented above. Moreover, the comparative data of 12 months of 2014 were
restated evaluating the impairment of fixed assets recorded in retrospect as at
31 December 2013. 

The interim report for the 12 months of 2015 of Lietuvos dujos will be
published on 26 February 2016.
