Vilniaus Degtine AB - Notification on material event

Results of the six months of 2008

Sales revenue of  “Vilniaus degtinė“ AB products during 6 months period, 2008 -
4236.8 thousand litres of drinks - 7 percent less comparing to 2007
January-June (4554.5 thousand litres). Sales of the company increased by 14.1
percent - from 26 352 085 LTL (7 632 091 EUR)  to 30 067 140 LTL (8 708 046
EUR). Pretax profit of „Vilniaus degtinė“ of 6 months period, 2008 amounted to 
38 290 LTL (11 090 EUR) (6 months period, 2007  - 612 445 LTL (177 376 EUR)).
Increased excise duty was the main factor, which influenced increase of the
price of alcoholic beverages, which resulted the decrease of sales. The
increase of prices, as well increased activity of black market resulted the
sales decrease especially in periphery.
