Iceland Ratings Raised to BBB+ On Further Progress Toward Capital Account Liberalization And Decling Debt Levels

On January 15, 2016, Standard & Poor’s Ratings Service raised its long-term
sovereign credit ratings on Iceland to BBB+. At the same time, they affirmed
the short-term ratings at A-2. Standard & Poor’s also raised the Transfer &
Convertibility Assessment to BBB+ from BBB. The outlook on the long-term
ratings is stable.
