Landsbankinn hf. : Arinbjörn Ólafsson appointed Managing Director of IT at Landsbankinn

Arinbjörn Ólafsson has been appointed Managing Director of IT at Landsbankinn
effective immediately.

 Arinbjörn Ólafsson completed a MSc degree in industrial engineering from the
University of Iceland in 2000 and a PhD in the same field from the University of
Wisconsin in USA in 2006. He started working in the Securities and Treasury
division at Landsbankinn in 2006. Between 2009 and 2015, he worked in financial
restructuring of companies and managed the recalculation of exchange rate
indexed loans. Arinbjörn has held a managerial position within IT at
Landsbankinn since 2015.



 Landsbankinn's IT division employs approx. 170 people. The division is
responsible for the maintenance and development of the bank's computer and IT
systems, and supports the development of digital technology within the bank.
